October was Depression & Mental Health awareness month. Now is the ideal opportunity to ensure your workplace is starting to focus on creating, or develop existing, wellbeing provisions for employees.
Over the last 18 months many people have found the changing working environment and instability difficult to cope with. The ONS reported that in 2021, cases of depression almost doubled in the UK. As we return to working from the office, supporting employees in this transition is an important step to a achieving a positive mental health culture within a workplace. One way to achieve this is to have a trained Mental Health First Aider.
